He was predeceased by: his father Andrew Willard; his siblings, Earl, Edward Willard and Rosalie Flynn; and his grandson Ari Josef Thomas Willard.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Barlow Willard; his children, Walter J Willard, Jr. of Pawleys Island, SC, Wendy Willard (Robert Lombardo) of Troy and Wanda Glenn (Jeff) of Mays Landing, NJ; his grandsons, Jason Willard (Carrie) of Dexter, MI, Jared Willard of Watervliet, Jordan Willard of Rensselaer and Jeffrey Glenn (Alison) of Philadelphia, PA.; and also Nadine Mahan.
