It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Jean Brooks (Watervliet, New York), born in Albany, New York, who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father George Brooks; and her grandmothers, Eleanor Brooks and Frances E. Melton Allen. She is survived by: her daughter Tomika Nicole Perry; her grandson Qua'Zeek Mikki Perry; her adoptive children, ShaDaya and David Pearson; her close friend Wilson Brown; her mother Mae G. Henrie; her siblings, Jacqueline M. Jenkins-Cox (Edward), James A. Brooks (Born), William J. Thompson (Shameek) and Erwin M. Jenkins (Just); her godparents, Arthur and Beatrice Melton; and her sister Jenna Faye Wallace of Albany, NY. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephew's and other relatives and friends.
