He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Arthur Connery; his great-nephew Gabriel Michael Paterniani; and also Louis Perfetti, Jr.. He is survived by: his sisters, Theresa Files (David) and Rachel Perfetti (late Louis); his nieces and nephews, Rachel Files (Christa Caruso), John Fulgan (Sage), Tracey Fulgan, Madeline Paterniani (David) and Louis Perfetti, III (Megan); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyler Fulgan, Nicholas, Giuliana, Amelia Paterniani, Dominic and Oriana Perfetti; and also Ricky.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (2013 Broadway, Watervliet, NY 12189). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of customary remembrances donations, in memory of Richard J. Fulgan, may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Shine Church, 28 State Street, Troy, NY 12180 or to Green Island Senior Citizens, 5 George Street, Green Island, NY 12183.
