He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Blanchard and Violet Blanchard; his wife Patricia Blanchard; and his siblings, Timothy Blanchard (Lois), Gail Christiansen (William) and Dave Crowley (Julie).
He is survived by: his children, Carrie, Eric (Laura), Jennifer Blair (Jerry), Ashley (Harold Durfee IV) and Michelle Mills (Steve); his grandchildren, Isabella, David, Nick, Elisabeth, Mary Ellen, Nadia, Kalyssa, Jonathon, Lexis, Jacob and Jillian; and his sisters, Mary Crowley (Joe), Elaine Christiansen (Don) and Betty Rehm (Phil). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
