With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael A. Durante (Watervliet, New York), born in Catskill, New York, who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Michael had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Michael may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore Durante and Londa Volpe; his stepfather George Volpe; and his sister Anna Durante. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Durante; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Ritter and Deborah Hommel (Fred). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (181 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
