He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; and his daughter Christine Bruck (Rob). He is survived by: his close friend Darci Sprague; his sons, Joseph (Sue), Jerry (MariAnne) and Anthony (Christi Beaury); his grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Owen, Nicholas, Justin, Liam, Grace and Stella; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Jr., Amelia and Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations in Joe's memory to be made to the St. John and St. Ann's Outreach Center (sjsacenter.org).
