He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Thorpe, Sr. and Jeannette Laliberte Thorpe; his daughter Patricia Thorpe; and his wife Catherine Fera Thorpe. He is survived by: his brother Robert Thorpe of Troy, NY; and his children, John T. Thorpe III (Karen) of Clifton Park, NY, Mary Landry (Pete) of Florida and Robert F. Thorpe (Theresa) of Ballston Lake, NY. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (181 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at the St. Mary's Cemetery (2900 Tibbits Ave, Troy, NY 12180).
