He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Echter and Elizabeth Rentz Echter; his siblings, Dorothy M. Hagadorn and Joseph C.; and his nephew Ronald Hagadorn.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Mark Hagadorn of Cohoes, William Hagadorn of Troy, Diane Connell, Michael Echter of New Jersey and Joanne Echter of North Carolina; and his friend Barbara Brewka of Watervliet.
