He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Mitola and Anne Mitola (Nolan). He is survived by: his wife Janis Mitola (Taggart); his daughters, Jessica Allen (Nick) and Johnna Howley (Sean); his grandchildren, Joey and Nolan; and his siblings, Donald Jr., Dennis (Candy), Sandra (Dan), Kathy (Bill), Sharon (Don), MaryLee (Todd) and Patrick (Robin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (181 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at 986 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
