He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Frank, Yolanda Legnard, Joseph, Rosemary Gilchrist, Ronald Bernard and Elfriede Bernard.

He is survived by: his uncle Rene; his parents, Fran Bernard and Joseph P. Gilchrist (Lori); his sister Becky Lalli (Mike); his nephews, Hank and Reggie; his godson James Edmund Scripps VI; his grandmother Jeanne Bernard; and his pets, Fiona and Mishka. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (2013 Broadway, Watervliet, NY 12189). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of customary remembrances, donation to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society would be appreciated.
