She was predeceased by: her parent Minna; and her brothers, Heinrich, Alfred and Walter Hochapfel. She is survived by: her sons, Mitchell W. Bernard of Gloversville and David W. Bernard of Niskayuna; her grandchildren, Frank (Bernard), Rebecca Lalli (Michael), Nicholas and Michael Bernard; her great grandchildren, Hank and Reggie Lalli; and her friend Fran Bernard.
