It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy A. Deitrich (Watervliet, New York), who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Geletzke and Dora Geletzke (Kline); her spouse Francis "Red" Sr.; her children, Kathy and Dennis Wilcox; her grandchildren, Kris, Steven and Denise; her daughter-in-law Teddi-Jo Cook; and her nephew Leo.
She is survived by: her children, David Deitrich, Nancy Desautels, Carl Deitrich and Francis Deitrich, Jr.; and her sister Eileen Sawyer. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (181 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 in Dorothy's memory.
