He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rosemarie DiNardo Holmes of Watervliet and Donald J. Holmes; his stepparent Edward Farrington; his siblings, Don, Donald Holmes (Sona) of Mechanicville and Douglas Holmes of Watervliet; his aunts and uncles, Eugene DiNardo of Ravena, Mary Ann DiNardo of Mechanicville, Philly Gilchrist of Watervliet, Albert DiNardo, Jr. (Lisa) of Mechanicville, Debbie Perkins of Florida, Dale Holmes of Florida and Daniel Holmes of Florida; his friend Melissa Karpowicz of Long Island; his cousins, Bryant Gilchrist, Geena, Nicholas DiNardo of Mechanicville, Rachel of Florida, Jacob of Florida, Dustin of Florida, Jamie of Florida and Elijah of Florida; and also Dominick Holmes.
