He was predeceased by: his son Charles R. Wendt Jr.; and his sister-in-law Karen Wendt. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Wendt; his daughters, Celeste Marie Yusaitis (Joe) and Claudine Michele Wendt; his brothers, Thomas Wendt of Watervliet and James Wendt (Barbara) of Rexford; his granddaughter Joanna Reilly (Mark); his great grandchildren, Tristan and Lydia Reilly; his nieces, Carol Lichorowiec (Brian) of Glenmont and Colleen Wendt of Scotia; his great-nephews, Bode, Rory and Jimmy; and his great-niece Josephine.
