He is survived by: his nephews, Maurice Peebles and Antoine Obie; his niece Jennifer Callwood; his uncles, Charles, Johnny Lyons, James, Bootsie and Elmo; his children, Marlon Avery and Sophia Avery; his siblings, Hilton G. Avery (Veronica), Patrick L. Avery (Janaie), Carolyn Avery Boone (late William), Toni Worrell-Avery (late Reggie) and Yvonne Wheeler (Freddy); his grandchildren, Anavie Hicks, Ramel Green, Nagi Hicks, Shariff Hicks, Aniya Avery, Ma'Lani Avery and Carniesha Lumpkin; and his goddaughter Morant (Sabrina Peterkin). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
