She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kapela and Pelagia Rynecki Kapela (Alice); her son Bruce; her siblings, John Kapela (Theresa), Adam, Edwin Kapela, Jane Szczepanski (Roman), Cecilia Minkler (John) and Irene Kapela; and her nephews, Ronald Szczepanski and Reverend John Minkler.
She is survived by: her husband Bernie; her sons, John (Alicia) and William; her daughter-in-law Daria; her grandchildren, Anastasia, Michael, Evan and Gillian; her nephew Richard Szczepanski (Mary); and her nieces, Colleen Quackenbush (Edgar), Christina Easton (James), Diana Kapela (Stuart Barlow) and Patricia Minkler (Robert Warren).
