With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Newton McDowell of Waterville, New York, born in Cazenovia, New York, who passed away on April 10, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Newton McDowell and Violet Fannie McDowell (Marlett); his siblings, Marie Benoit and Larry McDowell; and his grandson Daniel McDowell.
He is survived by: his friend Vera Anne Estey; his wife Anne (Estey); and his children, Jennifer Reichert of Mt. Dora, FL, Mark McDowell (Debbie Brown) of Medford, NJ, Brian McDowell (Margaret Leach) of Hamilton, NY, Jeffrey McDowell (Barbara Cox) of Geneva, NY and April Klahn (Doug) of Cheyenne, WY. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Ray's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and to the Alzheimer's Association.
