He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Townsend and Louise Davies Townsend; his wife Edna; his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Robert Massey; his brother Carl; and his sister-in-law Betty Townsend.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law Charles Crawford of Clinton; his son Jim; his daughter-in-law Janine Townsend of Malibu; his grandchildren, Kayla (Crawford) and Matt Moylan; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn Moylan and Aedan Crawford.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (3022 Oneida St, Sauquoit, NY 13456). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Three Steeples Church (2817 Old Rte 12, Sauquoit, NY 13456).
