She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence C. Layton and Lauretta Layton (Kellner); and her siblings, John W. Layton, Robert C. Layton, Clarence C. Layton, Jr., Heloise Guga, Gertrude Clark and Grace Dolliver.
She is survived by: her husband Donald J. Thornton of Redwood; her daughter Linda; her son-in-law Charles Redwine of Westfield, Indiana; her son Kevin J. Thornton of Canastota; and her grandsons, Christopher Redwine (Taylor) and Mark Redwine (Dawn). She is also survived by 2 great-granddaughters, 1 great-grandson, 3 step great-granddaughters, and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home (632 State St, Watertown, NY 13601). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
