He was predeceased by: his father George S. Rose; his siblings, Judy Kramer, Tom (George Thomas) and Bob (Robert); and his grandson Ryan.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Jr. (Cheryl) of Latham, NY and Christopher (Kimberly) of Peru, NY.; his wife Linda Schmalz of Cedarburg, WI.; his daughters, Hannah and Caroline of Latham, NY; his grandchildren, Jillian and Sean of Peru, NY; his stepdaughter Becky Jahandari; his stepgrandchild Leyli of Arlington, VA; his stepdaughter Virginia (Schmalz); his stepgrandchildren, Ciara, Reagan of Malahide and Ireland; his stepson Jeff Schmalz of Denver; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Rose of Lakeland, FL, Faye Rose of Syracuse, NY, Robert Huck of Camillus, NY and Robert Kramer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
