He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Murtie and Mary Mayo Murtie; his grandson Ryder; and his siblings, Maureen Murtie and Robert.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Murtie, Ryan Murtie (Jessica) and Jason Murtie; his grandchildren, Connor, Riley and Kylie Murtie; and his brothers, Bruce and Richard Murtie.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Platt Memorial (17 Oakland Ave, Warwick, NY 10990). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM and at 10:30 AM at the St. Stephens Catholic Church (75 Sanfordville Rd, Warwick, NY 10990).
