We bid farewell to John R. Rae of Watertown, New York, born in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 27, 2025 at the age of 92. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his grandson Justin Delamater; and his siblings, James Rae, Helen Elizabeth Ridge and Ethel Gregg. He is survived by: his wife Lillian; and his children, Stephen J. Rae of Watertown, John J. Rae (Robin) of Watertown and Victoria A. Delamater of Greenville, TX. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cummings Funeral Service, Inc. (214 Sterling St, Watertown, NY 13601). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 320 W. Lynde St., Watertown, NY 13601.
