He is survived by: his son John C.; his daughter-in-law Sharon L. Wager of Syracuse, NY; his daughter Karin L.; his son-in-law Rich C. Dorr of Dexter, NY; his grandsons, Brendan Wager, Oliver Wager and Nicholas Wager; his sister Lucinda; and his brother-in-law John Carney of Niagara Falls, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in John's memory may be made to the North Pole Fire Department.
