He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Soule Gerni; his children, Elizabeth Parrish of Watertown, Jonathan (Jewels) of Waterloo and Nicholas (Julia) of Fulton; his brothers, Kenneth, James and Michael Gerni (April); his brothers-in-law, Gene (Bonnie), Jeff (Doreen) and Joseph Soule; his nephew Jeff Soule (Stacie); and his caregiver Kaitlyn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nephews.
