She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Merritt and Areta Merritt (Roe); and her sisters, Joan Merritt and June Tibbles (O'Neill, Jr.). She is survived by: her sister Patricia Hillyard; and her children, John (Beckie), Dennis (Tina), Patrick (Sherry), Terrie (Gus), Bill (Katrina) and Marceshia. She is also survived by many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
