He is survived by: his wife Martha Martillotta; his children, Jane Henderson (Oliver) of Oxford, England and James Louis Mitchell (Angela) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Charles, James Mitchell and Eve Henderson; his brother John H. Mitchell (Barbara) of Kernersville, N. C.; his niece Sherry Mitchell; and his nephews, Allen and William Mitchell.
