He is survived by: his wife Trudy Lee Nelson (Curtis); his children, Wade, John (Patricia Hoellerer), Darlene Kay and Diane (Wesley Cooper); and his siblings, Edith Muir, Dawn Cook, Sharon Paul (Abend), Keith, Vaughn and Dale (Sharon Perringer). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
