We bid farewell to Alfred Sawall of Waterloo, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 14, 2024. Alfred touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolf Sawall and Lydia Metze Sawall; his daughter Rita Sawall; his grandson Randy Gilbo; his brothers, Artur and Albert Sawall; his nieces, Inge Burgess and Janet Waelz; and his nephew Dieter Sawall.
He is survived by: his children, Irene Barber (David) of Seneca Falls, NY, Gary Sawall (Mary) of Seneca Falls, NY, Alice Moses (John) of Red Creek, NY and Nancy Gilbo (Daniel) of Waterloo, NY; and his siblings, Erna Spiegelberg of Germantown, WI, Irma Delamarter (Fred) of Ventura, CA and Wilhelm "Bill" Sawall of Wappinger Falls, NY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (2414 NY-414, Waterloo, NY 13165). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery (63 Stark St, Waterloo, NY 13165).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Calvary Lutheran Church.
