He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Bilka; his stepfather John; and his brothers, Richard, Robert and Roy.

He is survived by: his mother Eleanor Pappas; his brothers, Ronald and Randy; his children, Russell, Dorene and Michelle; and his grandson Ryan. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Troy Motor Boat & Canoe Club (763 1st Ave, Troy, NY 12182).
