She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar G. Cooper Sr. and Mary Marble Cooper; her husband Robert G. Nielsen Sr.; and her brother Oscar "Ozzie" Cooper (late Irene). She is survived by: her sons, Robert G. Nielsen Jr. (Kathy) of Waterford and Brian J. Nielsen of Troy; her brother John Cooper (late Ruth) of Waterford; her grandchildren, Rebecca (Rich), Valerie (Leo), Matthew (Missi) and Jeannie (Joe); and her great grandchildren, Lucy, Roselynne and Eloise.
