He was predeceased by: his father Michael Downey; and his stepfather John Ahearn. He is survived by: his mother Susan Casuras Ahearn of Waterford; his brother Stephen Downey of Niskayuna; and his stepbrother Scott Ahearn of Waterford. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
