Carmen A. Kerber Obituary
GREEN ISLAND Carmen A. Kerber, 78, of Riverview Rd. passed away Monday November 18, 2024 at St. Peter's Hospice with her loving family at her side. Born and educated in Troy she was the daughter of the late Clifton E. Sawyer Sr. and Arlene M. Lawrence Sawyer.
Carmen had been employed at the Garden Way plant in Troy for 18 years and had retired in 1995. Prior to that she worked at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
She enjoyed swimming, aerobics and time with her family.
Survivors include her longtime companion, Robert Shaver, her children, Ronald L. Paul Jr. (Michele) of Cohoes, Allen M. Paul (Isabella) of Melrose, Jeffry M. Paul (Gwen) of South Carolina, Theodore E. Kerber (Rebecca) of Nassau, the late Colleen and Laurie Paul. She is sister of Bruce Sawyer (late Linda) of Troy, Philip Sawyer (Joy) of Cohoes, Dale Crandall of Troy, Roxanna Switzer (James) of Brunswick, Mark Sawyer (late Sandra) of Troy the late Brenda Bienick, Carol Rausch, James Sawyer (Nina), Clifton E. Sawyer Jr. (Blanche), Michael and Frank Sawyer. Also surviving is her best friend and cousin Sharon Czechowicz as well as 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford. Interment will follow at Waterford Rural Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 pm.
