With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ann Hurley of Wassaic, New York, born in Salt Point, New York, who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph H. Sterling, Sr. and Harriet H. Sterling Tattersall (Ernest Tattersall); her siblings, John H. Newman and Joan Houghtaling; her aunt Emma Hayden; and her daughter-in-law Rita Hurley.
She is survived by: her husband James Patrick "Jim" Hurley; her sons, Michael P. Hurley (Shalay) of Wassaic and Donald L. VonAhn (Judy Brandt) of Millerton; her brother Joseph Sterling, Jr.; and her granddaughter Melissa Stickle-Clark. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
