Margaret Y Deister Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Y Deister of Wassaic, New York, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Murray Elliot and Margaret Rivenburg (Markert); her husband Gustave Deister; and her sister Janice Sledge Freer. She is survived by: her children, Barbara E. Lisi (Paul J.) of Lansing, NY, Paul F. Deister (Deborah) of Hahnville, LA and Peter G. Deister (Margaret-Ann) of Amenia, NY.; her grandsons, Joseph P. Lisi (Traci) of Lansing, NY, Matthew P. Deister (Jessica) of Amenia, NY and Austin M. Deister (Cameron) of Costa Mesa, CA; her great grandchildren, Cody and Connor Deister; and her sisters, Evelyn Handke (Gene) of Wassaic and Phyllis J. Quinones Barker (David) of Lynchburg, VA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
