He is survived by: his children, Jennifer (Ryan Hupp) and Gregory (Michaela); his grandchildren, Benjamin and Lillian; his friend Lydia Denmark; and his siblings, Robert (Carmy), Lou Ann Chwan (Joe) and Susan Dove (Charles).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Arbor Day Foundation and the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences.
