Robert E. Gleason Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert E. Gleason of Warwick, New York, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas W. "Teddy" and Emma Martin Gleason; and his brothers, Thomas W. Gleason, Jr. and John J. Gleason. He is survived by: his friends, Discotheque of Greenwood Lake, NY and NJ; his close friend Dunkin Donuts; his daughters, Lauren of Washington, D. C. and Erin of Washington, D. C.; his wife Judith (Baird) of Warwick; and his siblings-in-law, John S. Baird Jr. (Marsha) and Marcia B. VanDerBeek (William). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10th and Friday, September 11th from 3:00-6:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY, with social distancing guidelines in place. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, to continue the push for much needed research and a cure to end the devastation of Parkinson's disease. Bobby also never met a dog, or any animal for that matter, that he didn't love, and as such, donations are also welcome in his honor to the Warwick Valley Humane Society, which was a special place to him.
