He was predeceased by: his spouse Kathleen A. O'Donnell. He is survived by: his children, Robert T. Checola (Carlos Rodriguez) of Kew Gardens, NY, Patricia Godfrey (Charles) of Shrewsbury, MA, Susan Mastromatteo of Warwick, NY, Linda Checola of Worcester, MA and Karen McDonald (Edward) of Arlington, MA; his grandchildren, Tommy, Amy, Jackie, MaryAnne, Nicole, Katherine, Kristin, Caroline, Chris, Eddie, Casey, Erin and James; his sister Joan Higgins (Robert) of East Northport, NY; and his brother-in-law Thomas O'Donnell of South Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
