She was predeceased by: her father Gus (Edythe Holmes); and her son-in-law Victor Petersen. She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Macagnone of West Chester, PA; her grandsons, Michael (Miranda) of Washington, DC and Thomas (Leigh); her great grandchild Owen of Cape May, NJ; her daughter Marianne Petersen; her granddaughter Rachel Harris of Warwick, NY; her son Scott Schiefelbein of Rutherfordton, NC; her granddaughters, Samantha Schiefelbein of Rutherfordton, NC and Caitlin Schiefelbein of Boone, NC; her brother Peter Holmes (Mary); her sister-in-law Ferle Schiefelbein; and her cousin Susan Maselli. She is also survived by many nieces and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
