We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2020, at the age of 69, Joseph W. Nachtigal of Warwick, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph W. Nachtigal to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nachtigal and Irene Nachtigal (Burke). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Nachtigal; his children, Jeremiah Nachtigal of Wilmington, NC, Sadie Nachtigal of Paris, France and Owen Nachtigal; his siblings, Barbara Annan (Bill) of Santa Ana, CA, Patricia Nachtigal of Upper Montclair, NJ, Renie Patterson (Bob) of Alameda, CA and Paul Nachtigal (Theresa) of Ormond Beach, FL; and his pet Lily. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome a donation in Joe's memory to the Warwick Greenbelt Preservation Society, PO Box 656, Warwick.

“Once, sophomore year at Villanova University, I gave him a ride back home to NJ along with his newly purchased old 250cc motorcycle that we somehow fit into my 1963 Chevy Biscayne station wagon. No seatbelts, plastic upholstery and carpeting, metal dashboard. The bike and Joe were throughly crusty & muddy. It was a great ride home. Too bad that Biscayne didn’t have a radio, but because of that Joe & I talked a lot. R.I.P., Joe. You were a quiet treasure I had the privilege of knowing.”
