He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Darcey and Grace Gaffney Darcey; and his son Philip. He is survived by: his wife Eda; his children, Michael Darcey (Joyce) and Trina Vladescu; his grandchildren, Jason Vladescu, Karina Vladescu, Derek Vladescu, Philip Darcey (Meghan), Alex Darcey (Christie) and Ryan Darcey (Beckah); and his great grandchildren, Ava, Emily, Erin, Audrey, Gunner, Mariella, Jackson, Madison and Lincoln Darcey.
