She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham "Hal" Halpern and Edith Halpern; and her son Eugene Schacher. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Schacher; her children, Jennie Schacher Rubin of Springfield, NJ and Andrew Schacher of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Ian Rubin (Kylie) and Hallie Rubin; her siblings, Stephen Halpern, Clifford Halpern (Carol) and Wendy Finn (Jack); her nieces and nephews, Maura, Sean, Sarah Finn, Josh and Eric Halpern; and her cousins, Bob Shindler, Sherry Cohen (David) and Lynn Wally.
