It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Porvaznik (Warwick, New York), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on October 6, 2018, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her parents, Bruce Hoag and Jeanne Hoag (Sailliard); her husband John; her daughter Amber Ewing; her grandson Shawn Wiggen of Leonardtown, MD; her son John Porvaznik III; her daughter-in-law Jennifer; her grandsons, Kameron, Damon and Michael Porvaznik of Cary, NC; and her brother Robert Hoag of Bristol, TN..

“Dear John and Amber, I do not know if you will see this, I really literally just found out about Carol's death. I am so sorry because if I had known I would have made an attempt to be there... Carol was not only a friend whom I always looked forward to seeing again but hoped to introduce my children to. 16 years ago I found both Carol and John as a safe haven of humor and friendship. When I asked both to be Lev's and our witnesses for our marriage they offered their home for a cake reception....”
