She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Lanahan and Kathryn V. Lanahan; and her brother-in-law Neal Sorkin. She is survived by: her sister Carol Sorkin of Syracuse; her nephew Andrew Sorkin (Miranda Turner); her great-nieces, Lily and Cassie Sorkin; and her great-nephew Gabe Sorkin of Arlington, VA..
