With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas G. Smithers of Warsaw, New York, born in Ogdensburg, New York, who passed away on June 17, 2020 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Smithers and Carol Smithers; his wife Barbara Smithers; his grandmother Enid W. Howie; and his siblings, Randall Smithers and Donna Smithers.

He is survived by: his children, Melissa Smithers, Eleanor Smithers and Mark Smithers (Vanessa); his siblings, Kimberly Johnson (Ronald) and David Smithers; and his close friend Bernadette Halstead. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
