He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Smith and Bernice Smith (Nutting); his sisters, Onolee and Norma Rissinger (Smith); his brother-in-law Warren Rissinger; his brother Julius Smith; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Smith (Kingsley).
He is survived by: his children, Wade Smith (Cari) of Warsaw, Tom Smith (Michele) of Shortsville, Laurie Grant (Jeff) of Brighton and Lisa Blackstock of Olathe, KS; his grandchildren, Julie Honn (David), Brad Blackstock, Brandon Smith (Morgan) and Morganne Smith; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Jocelyn, Alexis Honn, Peyton and Carson Smith; his nephew Joel Rissinger (Karen); and his niece Julie Wirth (Rissinger). He is also survived by several cousins, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
