He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Scherer and June Scherer (Wilcox); his brother Jack Toney; and his significant other Judy Scherer (Farrell). He is survived by: his daughters, Carly Remington (Scott) and Megan Scherer; his grandchildren, Caleb, Cameron Remington, Avery and Macey Lanfear; his significant other Amy Combs-Baker; his partner's children, Kendal Baker and Gage Baker III; his siblings, Hans Scherer (Barbara), Kevin Scherer, Beaver Scherer (Judy), Roseway and Kelley Keith (Brian); his pet Sitka; and his close friends, Jack Toney, Colin Hagadorn, John Yard, Mike Boyle, Joe McCue and Mark Harris.
