She was predeceased by: her parents, Milo Springstead and Effie Springstead; her husband Virgil Slater (Sam); and her sisters, Myrtle Smith and Marian Lussier.
She is survived by: her brother Mason Springstead (Joan) of Coxsakie, NY; her children, Sandra Kloss (Alan Hall, SR) of Warrensburg, NY, Steven Slater (Anna Maria) of Naples Italy and Sheridan Slater (Cynthia) of Chesapeake, VA.; her grandchildren, Damian Kloss, Benjamin Kloss of Greenwich, NY, Aaron Kloss of Lincoln, RI, Zachary Slater of Chesapeake, VA, Jessica Farrell of Woodridge, VA., Rachael Hess of Chesapeake, VA, Stephanie Slater of Naples, Italy and Gianluca Slater of Naples Italy; and her great grandchildren, Chandler Slater, Caleb Slater, Kaiden Hess, Abigail Hess, Colton Hess, Braeden Kloss, Molly Kloss, Brendin Farrell, Ava Farrell, Wyatt Kloss, Kira Kloss, Michael Varriale, Maryanne Varriale, William Slater, Isabel Slater and Michele Slater.
