He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryon Fielding Ames and Jean Gilchrist Irvine Ames (Ralph); his wife Dorothea Ames; and his siblings, Byron, Russell Ames and Jean Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Hamilton (Rich), Marci Cobb (Tim) and Diane Cook (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Sarah Devens (Clarence), Brittany Stiles (Adam), Jason Cobb (Stephanie), Alex Cook (Laura), Shannon Silano (Mark), Michael Cook (Randi) and Kaci Tatunczak (Kevin). He is also survived by 18 Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
