Though Jean may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry G. Matheus. She is survived by: her children, Henry (Anne) and Chiyo; her grandson Joshua (Carolyn); and her great grandchild Mason.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dutchess/Ulster Hospice or a literacy or arts program in her memory, continuing her lifelong commitment to education and the arts.
