He is survived by: his wife Virginia J. Leahy; his children, Dennis K. Leahy of Maybrook, NY, Christopher (Terri), Tracy (Patrick Maher) and Matthew Leahy of Highland, NY.; his grandchildren, Sean, Alyssa, Dylan, Christopher Jr., Rachel, Kaitlyn, Meaghan, Danny, Shannon, Mary-Clare, Alexis and Layla; and his great grandchildren, Harper, Donovan, Charlotte, Piper and Nathan.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children in lieu of flowers.
